Great Release Challenge – Day 28 — Friday by Silver RavenWolf copyright 2012
Your Challenge for Today: Today is Pamper Your Pet Day! Of course, you pamper your pet every day; but today, be sure to make an extra effort in caring for your pet. Clean the food dishes, wash your pet’s favorite blanket or toy, comb out fur, perhaps a best loved treat or activity that the entire family can enjoy with your feathered, furry, or amphibious friend.
According to recent statistics, between mid-2010 and 2011, an estimated 1.63 million households in the USA welcomed an animal companion, bringing the total number of pet-owning families to a record high of 63%. “Several recent studies have found that caring for an animal – whether a golden retriever or goldfish – can quell anxiety, brighten mood, and promote a healthier heart” (Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, January 2013 issue, page 90).
Sort of makes you wonder about those folks on E-bay who advertise a pet-free environment as a good thing.
So today? Honor your pet. If you don’t have a pet? Help a friend or family member who has one, take pet-food to a local food bank (when times are hard pets are often the first to suffer) or donate a buck to an animal friendly charity.
And, don’t forget to release at least one thing today.
Summary:
(1) Do your Morning Braucherei Ritual and light your goal candle.
(2) Do Today’s Pet Challenge.
(3) Practice your Sea of Potential Exercise
(4) Get ready for tomorrow!
Tomorrow: Your Words
Give yourself One Gold Star if you remembered to do your morning ritual. Two gold stars if you completed today’s challenge. Three gold stars if you donated to a pet friendly charity. Four gold stars if you deep cleaned anything. Five gold stars if you helped someone else straighten out their world after the holidays. Six gold stars if you managed to smile.
Peace with the Gods Peace with Nature Peace Within.
