Day Six of 2018 Great Release Program – 6 December – Thursday By Silver RavenWolf
Daily Brew — The Stars and You: Each day, I publish snippets of astrology information on my author page on FB. Here is an embellished version of what I posted for today:
Mercury turns direct at 4:22 PM EST/1:22 PM PST – Sagittarius New Moon Thursday/Friday – depending on your time zone (11:20 PM for West Coast on Thursday – 2:20 AM on Friday for East Coast). Mars in Pisces conjuncts Neptune on Friday (December 7th)– look out for bad food, animal bites, open sores, problems with water, and gossip – this energy pattern has been active for a few days and also bolsters creativity, the birth or fueling of innovative ideas, and demanding you look at the big picture. Not a detail day for many. The most important energy pattern that I have observed for Sagittarius is NOW! NOW! NOW! And they will make you insane with their pushing until you relent.
Sagittarius New Moon celebrates joy, help from mentors, getting answers, agility, travel, court proceedings, and expanding your horizons. This is a fire moon and mutable – meaning the flaming energy “goes with the flow” – boosted by the teamwork of Mars and Neptune in Pisces, some things might be gushing for you! In magick Sagittarius is often used for fast cash, finding solutions to problems, gaining freedom, instilling oneself with the proper motivation, and making/finding good luck objects.
Most of the day today for US folks is still under the dark of the moon- 4th quarter. For parts of South Africa, the New Moon occurs on Friday, 7 December, at 9:20 AM. For Sydney, Australia, it is Friday, 7 December, at 6:20 PM. If you live where the dark of the moon is still active today – use it to your best ability.
If you don’t care? That’s fine, too.
Special Challenge #1: Write down everything you want to release on a piece of paper. Spit on the paper. Burn the paper outside. If you want to let go of a previous sexual partner? Burn an old pair of underwear and their photo in an outdoor bonfire. Throw cleansing herbs into the flames (sage, rosemary, lavender, etc.).
Special Challenge #2: With the information given above (or with your own research) design a short ritual that corresponds to the goal of your program to perform on the 7th (Friday) of December. I will be posting the Gnome pattern tomorrow. You can use him as a house spirit, or as a bringer of wealth, or a protector of the family home. Or…you can make lots of gnomes for all sorts of reasons!
Your Challenge Today – Consider how the astrological energy can best serve you today and use it innovatively. Physically: Rearrange a Room. Any room. Which probably won’t be hard because most of us rearrange at least one room over the holiday season. Be careful not to place large furniture in front of doorways or main access routes as this blocks the chi of the area and can cause arguments or sluggish behavior. Don’t forget to cleanse the room with a rattle, bells, blessed water, salt, and a white lit candle (or whatever technique and tools you like).
If this isn’t possible today, just follow the primary rule: Throw one thing out. No giveaways this first week unless you will absolutely give them where they are supposed to go.
My Experience – I managed to tackle and finish my first weekly goal – whoot! If you have already completed yours, it is okay to set your new goal now – or, you can wait until tomorrow (Day 7) to create a new one. If you miss your deadline – no worries. Either choose a new goal or stick with the one you already have. Consider why you missed the goal (no judgments) and look for the underlying reason – which is never what we first say. I have learned that, yes, there is always time. It is how I choose to utilize those hours and minutes that trips me up, particularly if someone else is involved. I may feel it is my duty, my responsibility, etc., to help someone or be in a certain place where my presence is needed/desired. This can lead to inner turmoil and frustration, especially when you announce ahead of time that you are busy, and someone ignores what you said, forcing you (you believe) to adjust your behavior/schedule to accommodate their needs. When you encounter this type of resistance, take the time to step back, rebalance yourself, and consider why you are stressed. You can choose to change your pattern of behavior, even though the person pressing you does not. This dance of energy will eventually adjust according to your choices. You are not the servant, you are the master/mistress of your own time. The courage comes in accepting your own power and standing strong in your commitment to what you truly believe is important.
The biggest lesson I have learned in life: Everyone values something different, and most people will make judgments about others based on what they, themselves, value.
